How will your family celebrate this special day? With the customary offerings of red wine and sushi? Secretly judging people by their shoes? Or by drinking too much coffee and arguing theology in chatrooms? Post your stories, and any craft ideas for the children...

Well, it was Shabbat, so I went to Shaarey Tefilah for services. The Torah portion ws a double one, Acharei Mot-Qedoshim. This translates loosely as "After Death...Holiness". I thought you'd appreciate that...
Then there was a qidush (yes, related to "qedoshim"), food, in honour of a member's deceased father.
After that Rabbi Schachar & Meira & I went to Abba & Karen's for the afternoon. We ate & played with the kiddies & it was fab.
All the women went to a shi'ur together, a teaching that one of us in the community gives, on Shabbat afternoons during Daylight Savings Time. We learned all about when & why we say Hallel, a special combination of Tehilim/Psalms, on certain occasions marking when the Jewish People were saved.
We visited & had shalosh seudos, the third meal, together, just us girls, & then went for a walk & each returned to our homes to say goodbye to the Shabbat & welcome the new week.
In the evening I just worked %)
...what did YOU do?
